Women’s Entrepreneurship and Housekeeping Skills Contest Honors Winners in Hainan

Haikou, Hainan, China, September 27, 2025 — Steven Zhao, Canada & World Report —The award ceremony for the 2025 Hainan Free Trade Port Women’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (Housekeeping Group) and the Hainan Provincial Women’s Housekeeping Services Skills Contest was successfully held in Haikou, bringing together government leaders, industry representatives, contestants, and media to celebrate achievements in women-led housekeeping services.

Over the past month, the two competitions attracted wide participation and showcased the progress of Hainan’s housekeeping industry. In total, 31 women-led housekeeping enterprises competed in the innovation and entrepreneurship contest, with one team winning the first prize, two winning second prizes, three winning third prizes, and six receiving excellence awards. Meanwhile, the vocational skills contest, divided into four categories — Maternity Matron, Housekeeping Attendant, Family Caregiver, and Professional Organizer — drew 492 participants, including professional practitioners and students. Ultimately, four gold, four silver, and four bronze awards were presented, alongside 64 excellence awards.

At the award ceremony, 12 enterprise teams and 64 individuals received honors and cash prizes, while 15 organizations were recognized with the “Outstanding Organization Award.” A highlight video reviewing competition moments and cultural performances further energized the event.

The competitions were jointly organized by the Hainan Provincial Women’s Federation, the Hainan Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, and the Hainan Provincial Department of Commerce, hosted by Hainan Daily Co., Ltd., and co-organized by the Hainan Household Services Industry Association. With a total prize pool of 248,000 yuan and career advancement opportunities for winners, the events underscored Hainan’s commitment to the standardization, professionalization, and branding of housekeeping services.

Looking forward, the Provincial Women’s Federation plans to continue working with relevant departments to strengthen platforms for exchange and collaboration in the women’s housekeeping sector. By mobilizing policy, funding, and industry resources, the initiative aims to empower female entrepreneurs, enhance professional skills, and promote the sustainable growth of women-led housekeeping services — contributing both “women’s wisdom” and “women’s strength” to the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port.

The ceremony was attended by more than 300 participants, including contestants, media representatives, and students from Hainan Vocational University of Science and Technology.
