Toronto mayoral candidate, Reginald Tull, recently hosted a gathering at 3330 Lawrence Ave. E. in Scarborough on June 11, 2023. The event was a delightful evening filled with good food, music, and great company, where Tull had the opportunity to connect with his friends, supporters, and the community. During the event, Tull also took the time to sign copies of his book, “Memoirs of a Bad Boy: A true story of a young man’s struggles, incarceration, and redemption.”

Weizhen Tang presented Reginald Tull with his book titled “The Chinese Warren Buffett,” while Reginald Tull gave Weizhen Tang a copy of his book, “Memoirs of a Bad Boy”, This exchange allowed both candidates to share their respective literary works and gain insights into each other’s experiences and perspectives.
In his memoir, Tull vividly depicts the challenging realities of growing up in Toronto’s inner-city, particularly in the notorious Regent Park neighborhood during the era of crack cocaine. He delves into the history and darkness that surrounded the infamous Toronto Don Jail, sharing his personal encounters with violence, survival, and false accusations of murder.
“Memoirs of a Bad Boy” serves as a testament to the transformative power of resilience and redemption. Tull’s personal journey showcases how individuals, regardless of their backgrounds or the adversity they face, can overcome their circumstances and make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Born and raised in the culturally diverse city of Toronto, Reginald Tull is not only an entrepreneur and motivational speaker but also the founder of the United Youth of Canada, a non-profit organization that has been serving the community for over a decade. Through this organization, Tull has implemented numerous after-school programs, drug awareness initiatives, summer day camps, and a poverty relief project called “Food for Humanity.” He has also provided inner-city youths with opportunities to travel abroad and support impoverished families by providing essential supplies and assistance.
